The New Jersey Chapter of the ADTA is a member organization, composed mainly of dance/movement therapists in NJ, as well as local allied professionals. We are a vital group that promotes professional networking, collaboration, and renewal for our members, and "friends" of the chapter. Chapter meetings and workshops are held regularly, in order to maintain high standards of practice in the field, and to involve all levels of participation - from student to entry-level professional, to the most experienced, seasoned professional. A Chapter Newsletter serves as a link for information and communication regarding dance/movement therapy in New Jersey.
The Mission of the NJ Chapter is inclusive, expansive, and forward-reaching. We strive to reach out to all dance/movement therapists in our own, and neighboring, states. We are also reaching out to professionals in the other Creative Arts Therapies, and other related fields.
In addition to supporting our members, the chapter's goals include educating the general public about the benefits of dance/movement therapy, through various public relations efforts.
